Sure you do, everyone does! Do you like bad singers singing ABBA in weird contrived musical numbers? Sure you...maybe do...but perhaps not... do you really? Then I guess you are the audience this movie was made for. My wife and 5 year old daughter loved it. And while I do like ABBA - I would reather hear the real thing on a CD in my car than have to watch this movie. 3 stars because I find it unwatchable but the women in my house loved it :).Great Musical!! - maebers
The music is as great now as it was 30 years ago, a true testament to ABBA's continued popularity. An absolutely hilarious, rousing and joyous celebration that ought to have you dancing in the aisles. This is entertainment, not a movie. And as entertainment goes, Mamma Mia! belts it out of the park.Loved It - BarbA
Personally I found this to be an amazing movie. I will admit, I've never seen the actual play performed, and therefore I had no prior comparison. However, I found that the actors were humourous and of course very entertaining. It's such a fun and upbeat musical movie that I recommend it to everyone who likes musicals. The music is very good, I actually prefer this version of "Lay all your love on me" to the real ABBA version.
