The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2
Some friends just fit together.
Join the four best friends as they finish their first year of college and dive into a summer of excitement. Bridget (Blake Lively) journeys to Turkey on an archeological dig. Carmen (America Ferrera) plunges into the hectic, creative world of summer theater in Vermont. Lena (Alexis Bledel) discovers new love and old heartbreak at the Rhode Island School of Design. And in the Big Apple, Tibby (Amber Tamblyn) takes a big step in her relationship with Brian. Romance, laughs, tears and that magical pair of jeans that keeps the girls together even when theyre far apart all here in a heart-lifting second film based on Ann Brashares bestsellers. Its a perfect fit.

not true to the books - Vicki24
i have read 1 and 2 of the books and i plan on reading the 3rd and 4th.the first movie stayed true and closed to the book- which is what i'd think fans would want- but the second one was confusing and hard to follow. they mixed not just the second and the third but the FOURTH book all into one movie.... it takes away the imporatance. reading the books i could feel like i was one of the characters... like i got into there minds. the first movie did the same. the second film seemed out of context. it didn't stay true to who tibby, lena, carmen, and bridget were. you didn't get to connect with them because there was so much going on scene bee is in turkey the next at her grandmas the next at home. you think showing one scene of her crying is gonna make us connect with her...it sure didn't with me! we also skiped the whole fact *BOOK SPOILER* that carmen has emotional problems, that she practically almost broke of her mothers realtionship with david! and the emotional effect ksostos had on lena. again showing one scene of lena crying saying he broke her heart is gonna compare to the deep deep emotion the author took us in the book. Lena was horribley dammaged from kostos . she loves him, and *SPOILER* at the end for her just to get cak together with him just like that seems to easy. in the book she was so sad and in the movie is was disapointing not getting that across. they didn't even cover the fact about tibby and how she wwwwas sad about bailey they didn't even mention bailey! that was abig part of her life and she just gives that up in this film !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Overall skipping 3 years of their lives was stupid and putting three books into one movie was stupid
the movie had good acting and was quite funny at times. if you didn't read any of the books you will enjoy it. if you did well the whole time you'll be thinking about everything i said and how the movie is so not true to the books. Not as good as the first - firefly7
This one just didn't have the magic and excitement that the first movie had for me. The 4 sisters, so to speak are still the best of friends and are each experiencing a different part of growing up. Each dealing with their own lives. Moving on while dealing with the past.
I can't say that I relate. I was their age once and I don't remember traveling abroad while my friend's mom gets married and has a baby, my other friend also travels abroad, and my other friend ends up dealing with an intense issue of her own. It seems a bit unrealistic. Then again maybe my life is just boring.
I do have to say that I enjoy the dialogue. It's refreshing to see people speaking to one another without swearing. Seeing them express their emotions verbally without resorting to childish behavior. I wish I could speak to people that way when I am upset.
I give this movie 3.5 stars out of 5.The Travels Continue - Tigger28
Not quite as faithful to the book as the original, but still a worthwhile film. The sequel to the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants combines the second, third and forth books which continue the story of the four best friends. In trying to include as much information as they did, it could be argued that the movie did not quite capture the air of the original. The unbreakable friendship that is constantly tested still makes this movie a worthwhile watch and a lot of fun.
