The Killing Gene (a.k.a. W Delta Z)
Unrated
How far would you go to save the one you love?
Stellan Skarsgard (Exorcist: The Beginning) stars as Eddie Argo, a veteran cop investigating a string of bizarre serial murders. In each case, the victims were forced to make the unconscionable decision to save themselves or the life of a loved one. Now Eddie and his rookie partner (Melissa George, Alias) must stop the carnage before the killer strikes too close to home. Featuring Selma Blair (Hellboy) in a terrifying performance, The Killing Gene is a "thought-provoking and brutal horror-thriller that keep the audience on the edge of the seat until the gripping conclusion" (evildread.com).

Good enough serial killer film - Coconut_Willy
Although the storyline is a bit on the odd side and that it gets quite predictable halfway through, I did enjoy it. There is plenty of gore although we mostly see mutilated bodies after the fact than actual death scenes. There is also excessive use of foul language which is often indicative of a slight lack of imagination when it comes to writing dialogue. Overall, entertaining but not really above average. The cast of familiar faces is good enough doing the expected acting job with a so-so dialogue and over the top characters. The sets and locations are quite grim but well matched with the movie. The soundtrack is appropriate as well as the camera work. Although there is nothing really extraordinary here, it is an entertaining movie if you don't mind the gore and the language. The Killing Gene - purvis1359
"The Killing Gene" is definitely an interesting film, although certainly one which you would want to watch once the children have gone to bed. The plot is well thought out, intriguing, and is full of surprises from start to finish. The only criticism that I have about this movie is the volume of blood and gore. Definitely not for the faint of heart or weak of stomach.Gritty, but Not for the Faint of Heart - Yehudi
I was extremely surprised at how absorbing this movie was. I am not usually a fan of blood and gore, but this film was an exception. There was no gratuitious violence it is there to enhance the
realisim.
I don't think a thriller about a serial killer has ever left me with tears in my eyes, but this one really grips you and doesn't let you go. The premise was thought provoking and left me wondering what I would do in the same situation.
I recommend this movie to anyone over the age of 19, definitely not for children.
