Anamorph
"Reminiscent of "Zodiac" and the 1970's gritty crime dramas." -Ifmagazine.com
When a reclusive detective (Oscar-Nominee Willem Dafoe) is drawn into the case of a serial killer who is enacting anamorphosis - a painting technique that manipulates the laws of perspective - only with human bodies; he is thrust into a dark and unsettling underworld that threatens to reveal the secrets of his tormented past.

A resounding 'Meh' - Drew777
Slight spoiler alert at the end of this review.
I thought this film really lacked in many ways.
Willem Dafoe is quickly joining the ranks of great actors that do really awful movies late in their career.
Did Al Pacino owe someone a favour and then agreed to do "The People I Know"?
I get the same feeling from this one.
Scott Speedman played his part okay I guess but it wasn't a well written part.
Also, when trained cops that are getting promotions solve major crimes by shear fluke and luck, you need to throw the script out and start again.
Clea Duvall's character seemed to just be in the story for no real reason at all. She's good and then she's not good again, blah blah blah (again, I'm being vague so as to not spoil anything)Nothing Thrilling - YVRnWriter
I wouldn't waste my time on this one.
If you want to see a good psychological thriller, rent Zodiak from 2004.
Anamorph fails miserably in its attempt to be a psychological thriller. Very slow. Tried to stay with it but couldn't finish it. Didn't really care about the main characters.
