Surfer, Dude
"Love and waves, that's what we need in these dark days."
Matthew McConaughey stars as a surfer who discovers that his cool Malibu vibe has been corrupted by the arrival of Virtual Reality Games. Unwilling to participate he decides to surf his home break, but in a twist-of-fate the waves go flat. Now, aided by his manager (Harrelson), his guardian-angel (Nelson), and his summer love (Gilmore), he must learn to endure the insanity that comes with no waves, or give into the reality-altering machines.

This movie was not great, but I truly only rented it to watch McConaughey shirtless for 90 minutes. I enjoyed the scenery, including the waves and sand. The movie itself was a little boring but not the worst movie I have ever seen. It was actually a little better than I had expected, so I was not disappointed!OH MY - Sandy_P
This was a horrible movie. I am a HUGE Matthew fan and the only thing that kept me watching this movie was the fact that he was in shorts and half naked throughout otherwise I would have shut it off. Horrible. They story line was ridiculous, as a matter of fact, the whole thing was ridiculous. I'm surprised that he played in this movie and directed it.Not a bad... - Dakos
movie for mcConaughey. All it is is an attack on the commercialism and sexism that is very prevalent in marketing. Sexy sells dammit! That whole theme rang out right through the movie so if you don't like these one- dimensional surreal kind of plots then this movie is not for you. He played a nice role but his characacter was not too realistic.
