The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
"I was born under unusual circumstances."
And so begins The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards: a man, like any of us, who is unable to stop time. We follow his story, set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man's life can be.
Directed by David Fincher and starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett with Taraji P. Henson, Tilda Swinton, Jason Flemyng, Elias Koteas and Julia Ormond, Benjamin Button is a grand tale of a not-so-ordinary man and the people and places he discovers along the way, the loves he finds, the joys of life and the sadness of death, and what lasts beyond time.

I really enjoyed this movie. I wish it had been a little shorter but that's the only flaw. Brad Pitt's acting was amazing. Being born old and then dying as a baby is a very interesting concept. This really gives you a different view on life. You can definetely see the similarities between a young child and an elderly person. It comes full circle. Our 14 year old enjoyed this too ... - rockstar6789
This is a great story that contrast the trials and tribulations for growing up. Our 14 year old kid ended up watching it with us and told us afterwards that he really enjoyed the movie and found the story interesting. The visual storytelling along and the narrative pace make this a great movie; see for yourself why it was a big name during it's oscar season. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - RogerDaniels
"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" is a beautiful, contemplative examination of one man's extraordinary life. The acting is uniformly strong, with Brad Pitt showing incredible versatility and depth (with a little help from the CGI Make-up department), and Cate Blanchett embodying her character completely (faultless accent, et al) and showing the conflict and personal torment that accompanied her love for Pitt's fantastical Benjamin. This film moves slowly, quietly contemplating the peculiarities of life and the hardships that accompany it. It's a beautiful film and one that allows you to experience the entire life of an unique individual. If you allow yourself to accept the impossibility of Benjamin's aging, you'll find yourself thoroughly engrossed in this gorgeous film that is ultimately concerned with truth, not fantasy.
