The Unborn
Includes both the theatrical version and the unrated cut.
Casey Beldon (Odette Yustman) hated her mother for leaving her as a child. But when inexplicable things start to happen, Casey begins to understand why she left. Plagued by merciless dreams and a tortured ghost that haunts her waking hours, she must turn to the only spirtual advisor, Sendak (Gary Oldman), who can make it stop.
With Sendak's help, Casey uncovers the source of a family curse dating back to Nazi Germany—a creature with the ability to inhabit anyone or anything that is getting stronger with each possession. With the curse unleashed, her only chance at survival is to shut a doorway from beyond our world that has been pried open by someone who was never born.

Fresh Take on Horror - Movie_Man84
I loved this movie. I thought it was spooky and had a great story and a great cast. This movie was a lot better than most of the recent ghost flicks, it's about a demon who needs to be born into this world through a baby and it had a great back story behind it all. If you lie supernatural thrillers than this is a must see.Is Gary Oldman broke? - CaptainRhodes
I thought I might enjoy this due to the decent trailers and being a huge fan of the horror genre but I was wrong. Very wrong. This was one sloppy, uninteresting nor frightening movie. It was frustration with no end seeing just how bad it was and only getting worse by the strained minutes. I won't walk through all the faults cause I don't need a new career. Not so sure about this one - Coconut_Willy
I thought this was well put together with a nice escalation in atmosphere and action but the storyline is indeed a bit ridiculous. As you watch it, it's not too apparent but when it's done and you start thinking about what you just saw, you realize that most of it did not make much sense. The overall concept is a bit suspect to begin with and the development choices that were made were obviously not so good. The cast is OK doing the expected acting job with a fair dialogue and a few interesting characters. The sets and locations are nice, the soundtrack is pleasant with mostly original music and the camera work is OK. For a movie classified as horror, it does not have many scary scenes and the special effects are not always effective. Overall, this is very typical of many horror movies made these days and is probably average at best.
