George Wallace
This edition has the movie spanning two discs, but will be shipped together and treated as only one title on your ZipList.
"Segregation now! Segregation tomorrow! Segregation forever!" With these words, Alabama Governor George Wallace thrust himself on the American political stage. He might have been President if a bullet hadn't paralyzed him during the 1972 campaign. And he might have remained a hated symbol of bigotry. But Wallace learned from his own pain - and struggled to undo the pain he had inflicted on others. Gary Sinise (in the title role), Mare Winningham and Angelina Jolie score acting triumphs in this stunning re-creation of an era that won Emmy Awards for Sinise, Winningham and director John Frankenheimer, as well as Golden Globe honors for Jolie and as Best Miniseries of Motion Picture Made for Television. Experience the power of the man - and this spellbinding movie.

great historical drama! - frankenstein
Gary Sinese plays a great performance of one of the most controversial figures in American history , Alabama governor George Wallace. The movie is a well done historical drama, with Wallace being at the centre of the Civil Rights era as an opponent of desegregation . Angelina Jolie plays an excellent role as Wallace's second wife. The rigidity of the south to change and the political pressures is well portrayed, with someone like Wallace being in many ways a weak figure unable to deal with the tide of change, weakness and poor decisions which he later in life regrets.
