Against the Dark
He lives by the sword. They will die by it.
Katana master Tao (Steven Seagal) leads a special ops squad of ex-military vigilantes on a massacre mission, their target: vampires. On the post apocalyptic globe, sucked dry by bloodthirsty vampires, a few remaining survivors are trapped in an infected hospital. Tao is their only hope and he knows the only cure is execution. Now it's time for the last stand against the flesh-eating vampires and there's nothing left to lose but the last of humanity.

Unfortunately what the audience is left with is a crew of unknown actors, cheesy dialogue, and very little Steven Seagal scenes, who is in the movie for about 10 minutes or so (most of the story revolves around the other characters).
The Steven Seagal fight scenes are short and forgettable, nothing cool going on here. How you get to see an hour and a half movie in 20 mins.... - Jesus_Boom
Use the fast forward button, that's my advice if you rent this movie. I don't think I missed anything...
Here's what happened, a spolier if you like. Lots of walking, dark scenes, probably to hide the size of Stevie's frame, let's be honest, more walking, blurred shots of Stevie, more walking, some sword shots, walking, more sword shots, which looked remarkably like the previous sword shots, back shots of Stevie, who wasn't in the vast majority of the scenes anyway, as he walked away for the camera, all interspersed with a few talkie bits, the dialogue of which was erm, rubbish.... did I mention the walking?
Hey, Stevie, m8, if you don't want to be seen as a big boy now, go on a diet or get in the dojo. But, having been a practioner of Aikido, Saito Sensai was a big man and cleaned the clock of every fool who ventured onto the mats, so an expert of your calibre, whatever Dan you attained should have no problem. Stop squeezing into outifits that make you look like your head is about to explode....
The other characters? Who cares. There were a few, of which I had no remote interest in whether they made it to the end of the film or not....
All wrapped in a preposterous "storyline", I use the term loosely. I mean, really, a supposed expert who has survived in an apocalyptic wasteland walks up to a weird freaky looking crying woman after wasting a baddie, and taps her on the shoulder..... I mean come on.... rubbish.
I've watched the last few of Stevie's films, I think probably on the strength, I use the term lightly, of his first few films, which I admit, I enjoyed, when he was a younger man. Why, oh why do I do this to myself? I expect so much and receive so little in return.... on that note, I'm off to dust off the typewriter to see if I can't come up with a more impressice script for the Segalmeister. I mean, for crying out loud, someone has to....So Disappointed - Callie1983
When I saw this movie at Blockbuster I was so excited as I am a huge Steven Segal fan and love vampire/zombie movies. But this movie was aweful and boring! Steven Segal swung a sword and not even artfully... It was like the vampire things where barely fighting and the acting was horrid. I couldn't even finish it...
