Tyler Perry's Madea Goes to Jail
Something big is coming to the big house.
After a high-speed freeway chase puts Madea (Tyler Perry) in front of the judge, her reprieve is short-lived as anger management issues get the best of her and land her in jail. A gleeful Joe (Tyler Perry) couldn't be happier at Madea's misfortune. But Madea's eccentric family members the Browns (David and Tamala Mann) rally behind her, lending their special "country" brand of support.
Meanwhile, Assistant District Attorney Joshua Hardaway (Derek Luke) is on the fast track to career success. But Hardaway lands a case too personal to handle - defending young prostitute and former drug addict Candace Washington (Keisha Knight Pulliam)—and asks his fiancé and fellow ADA Linda Holmes (Ion Overman) to fill in on his behalf. When Candace ends up in jail, Madea befriends the young woman, protecting her in a "motherly" way as only Madea can.

Tyler Perry - cloicker
Another well done Tyler Perry film. I didn't find this one quite as funny or entertaining as I orginally thought. I thought it would be based more on the storyline of Madea then it was and more humour but it still had very funny moments and the other story line was very well done. Not my favorite Tyler Perry movie but still a good watch.Another hit! - anemonie
I have never been disappointed by Tyler Perry and this is another sit-down special by the very entertaining film maker. Interesting story about standing by the people who make us who we are and that we love. Something that is timeless. The successful lawyer who works his way out of the "hood" meets up with an old friend of his who is in trouble, she's not in the best of circumstances, which is similar to the way that their relationship left off, and instead of deciding to live a empty life with all of the trappings of success, the lead decides to stick to his gut and hang by with the girl that he's known forever. That decision also changes his life forever. Definitely worth watching.Great story..way to go Tyler! - 2face
Another hilarious piece from Tyler Perry and his team. Great story although somewhat predictable. My wife did not like the way the story ended with Josh publicly calling off the wedding at the church! In real life, he probably would have done it in private and not humiliate Linda in public like that. You don’t do that to someone you claim to love enough to want to marry. Also, she felt Linda did what any typical woman will do to keep her man. I think the story is great though. Keisha was brilliant! Cute little Rudy from The Cosby Show is all grown up now. The only issue I have is that they need to do some more work with Joe's make-up. He looks so unreal!
