Everyone wants to be loved. Just not this much.
What would you do if your mother moved in with you and just wouldn't leave? When Noah Cooper, 29, is fired from his job as a therapist, he thinks his day can't possibly get worse. When he arrives home his already full house gets even crazier when Marilyn, Noah's overbearing mother arrives with her five dogs in tow needing a place to stay. Comedy ensues as Noah learns to deal with the pressures of finding a job, a wife who desperately wants a baby, and worst of all a mother who won't quit smothering!

It had some funny moments, but not a block buster, that is for sure. Would not rush out to buy it or rent it. Some of the supporting cast were delightfully quirky, but most of were pretty predictable, as was the plot. Usually Diane Keaton's movies are good fun, but this one was a bit of a dud.As usual, - Dakos
Diane Keaton steals the show in a movie where the premise is promising but not delivered to its potential. Dax Shepherd was good as the son but I though Liv Tyler sound too "nice" as the wife. But Diane Keaton portrayal as the mother who unexpectedly drops in on his son's life (with her 5 dogs) is nothing short of exceptional. Interfering in her son's life to the point here she finds employments at the same place where he works created enough humor that was good for the viewer. Only other similar themed movie I can think this I enjoyed as much was Mother with Albert Brooks and Debbie Reynolds.
