Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian
When the lights go off, the battle is on!
History is larger than life - and twice as funny - in this monumental comedy sequel that's "better than the original" (At the Movies)
Ben Stiller leads an all-star cast (including Amy Adams, Owen Wilson, Hank Azaria and Robin Williams) as Larry Daley, a former night watchman at the Museum of Natural History, where the exhibits come to life after dark. But now Larry's nocturnal friends are being retired to the archives of the Smithsonian Institution, luring him back for a hilarious, all-out battle against museum misfits who plan to take over the Smithsonian... and the world!

As the previous reviewer wrote, its the same recipe as the first movie. Except in the first one it was Ben Stiller meets jumanji in a new york museum, this is Ben Stiller meets the Mummie in washington DC. Althought it is listed as a comedy I don't belive I laugth once. Your not missing much if you don't watch this movie. If anything the concept is interesting; a museums artifacts come to lifeSuspend Disbelief - rubuliak
When a movie can make you suspend disbelief and have you cheering for the protagonist, it has done it's job. "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" is the sequel to "Night at the Museum". If you haven't seen the first movie it is not necessary to understanding the story but it is just as enjoyable.
Ben Stiller stars alongside Owen Wilson, Robin Williams and Amy Adams, whose portrayal of Amelia Earhart is perfect. (My I say that she is the next Nicole Kidman). The effects were well done and for a typical storyline, it made up with great characters including enjoyable acting. I found myself wanting to know more about some of the characters and artifacts included in the movie.
I have two pet peeves with the movie; the improve scene with Jonah Hill and Ben Stiller (but such improve scenes should be expected when watching a Ben Stiller movie) and when a character says the title of the movie, in the movie.
This should be an enjoyable movie for all ages.Great Movie - carunnin
What can I say? I love these silly, cheesy movies. This movie made me laugh non-stop. Whoever does the writing on these films does a great job of keeping the pop-cultural references clever, and the humour clever in general. My absolute favourite part of this movie is the bad guys rummaging through the cultural "treasures" of the Smithsonian (Archie Bunker's "throne," etc.) When I want to watch a silly movie where Abe Lincoln says something to the effect of "Farewell strange bird-headed men!" this is my film! I wish there were more movies like this.
