Food, Inc.
You'll never look at dinner the same way again.
Food, Inc. lifts the veil on our nation's food industry, exposing how our nation's food supply is now controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, the livelihood of the American farmer, the safety of workers and our own environment. Food, Inc. reveals surprising - and often shocking truths - about what we eat, how it's produced and who we have become as a nation.

Thanks to zip I was able to see this movie back to back with Forks over knives.
Both these movies touch your inner self. We are all guilty clearly.
If we decide NOT to buy products from these big bullies, then they will change.
Monsanto comes out pretty bad. They seem to control everything.
Didn't ADM get caught for price fixing? Wasn't Matt Damon's movie Informant about that fiasco?
This movie's top selling point is its hopeful message. I really liked the new age farmer guy...Salatin. His passion is palpable. I generally don't go to Organic stores. I will from now on, even if it is only to buy for small amount of money. Whatever I can afford and whatever I like to eat.
BOy....I can see the fear in people's eyes when they refuse to talk to the interviewer about big corporations for the fear of being sued.Sent a chill down my spine.
May be this is what Occupy wall streeters are trying to focus on.
Any way you can't afford to miss this one.Must See Documentary! - Kimberly
This was an amazing film, documentary that has changed the way I look at food. It has also changed the way I will eat and buy food. After seeing behind the curtain of how chickens are raised, fed, treated and processed, I have decided not to eat chicken any more. I think everyone needs to see this film, it will revolutionize the way you eat, see and buy food. We need to making smarter food choices, and demand that our food be grown more locally and organically, and it will be provided if the public demands it. We have the choice and power to change the food industry, make your voice heard with every purchase you make!food inc. - douglasles
Finally got to see this and what an eye opener...it makes you aware of where most food comes from ie. the factory farm and explains why
there are so many bacterial disease outbreaks.I realize the focus here is on the US food industry but it makes us more aware as Can what we should be looking for in our food production...
warning about the one gruesome scene with the cow's stomach
