Year One
Includes Both the Unrated (100 mins) and Theatrical (97 mins) Versions
History was made... by these guys? Zed (Jack Black) and Oh (Michael Cera) are cavemen who stumble out of the mountains into an epic journey of biblical proportions. One's a bumbling hunter, the other's a gentle gatherer; together, they become unlikely participants in history's most pivotal moments. Directed and co-written by comedy legend Harold Ramis (Groundhog Day, Caddyshack, Analyze This), Year One is rude, crude, wildly absurd, deliciously tasteless and laugh-out-loud funny!

Very little good parts. - fallenangel
I watched the unrated version and while there were some good parts from Michael Cera, Jack Black ruins so many of the scenes by going over the top and generally being annoying. I would say rent a movie where Jack Black is less annoying but I doubt they exist.Worst Jack Black movie ever - Rishi
Being a big fan of Jack Black, I was very disappointed in this movie. I watched the "unrated" version of Year One and laughed only half a dozen times, at most. The writing is pretty weak. Some of the characters are simply annoying. Michael Cera is the one that saves the movie (the only reason I gave it a single star, instead of none!). His lines are the funniest. The only problem is that he says them under his breath (part of his character), which makes you miss a few (or maybe I'm hard of hearing).Disapointment - Magali
I picked this movie mostly because of its cast (I am a big fan of Michael Cera) and didn't have very high expectations, but I was still disappointed: The dialogues sounded empty, the humor is mostly of the unsubtle, below-the-belt type, the story doesn't make much sense, the music is terrible... OK, I confess I did laugh a few times (Michael Cera, David Cross and Christopher Mintz-Plasse rarely disappoint, though in an un-surprising sort of way), but I am not proud of it...
