Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Dark Secrets Revealed
Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort's defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information. Even as the decisive showdown looms, romance blossoms for Harry, Ron, Hermione and their classmates. Love is in the air, but danger lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same.

I've never read the books, so I won't compare this to the novel its based on. All I saw was a stand alone movie that was the Harry Potter version of Empire Strikes Back. Much darker in tone than previous chapters of this series, but becoming more adult-themed. I have thoroughly enjoyed these movies so far, and can't wait for the next installment! 4 out 5 stars.if you have read the book don't watch this movie - kmarrs
Any of you reading this review who have not read the book then don't bother reading this review it's not for you.
For those of you that have read the book you probable share my pain when watching this movie. What I think is probably the best of the books HP6 is like "The empire strikes back" of HP books, it has huge plot points, is wonderfully indepth, and leaves the reader on a sad note that makes it so you can't wait to read the final book. This movie does none of that, with the obvious exception of the end(which thankfully it couldn't f up that bad). There a huge parts missing here from the book that i believe should have been in there, but that is often the case with book to movie movies...but what is most upsetting to me is the senseless, stupid changes they made to certain things in this movie from the book. Biggest example is the part where bella and greyback attack the weasley house...that's not in the book people nor does it add to any part of it or the next book, so why do it?!?!?!? Anyway have pretty much loved all the HP movies up to this one and will never watch it again cause i dont want it to ruin the perfect memory of the greatest of the HP books.HP6 - andy3
Nicely done chapter in the Harry Potter Universe. My only complaint is that it seemed a little disjointed in parts. Sometimes it just felt like it was missing something. Pacing could have been a tad better.
Go see the new one, it was amazing. Probably my favorite of the whole series!
