(500) Days of Summer
This is not a love story. This is a story about love.
In this quirky romantic comedy about love and fate, a young greeting card writer (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is hopelessly, helplessly searching for the girl of his dreams...and his new co-worker, Summer Finn (Zooey Deschanel), may just be "the one." But the 500 days of their offbeat relationship reveal (in no particular order) that the road to happiness can be unpredictable, uncontrollable - and unbelievably funny!

This is one of the best movies I've seen in a while!
A romantic comedy that both guys and gals will like equally!
The leads work so well together that I didn't ever want the movie to end!
It's funny, the supporting characters are original, the movie has great music, and it uses several unique narratives to tell the story.
I can't really think of anything negative to say about this one!
It's a can't miss!Truly Lovely - crazyboutmovies
A truly refreshing and original look at love and relationship. Kudos to director Marc Webb for pacing this film with perfect timing.
Gordon-Levitt and Deschanel made a believable couple, not just the latest teen idols pretending to act. A strong supporting case made this a wonderful ensemble effort.
I cannot recommend this film highly enough.Loved Each and Every Day of It - Mookie
Gordon-Levitt is an amazing actor! Brick (a must see), Inception and now this, I love him. What a leap from the sitcom Third Rock from the Sun. Zooey, I can take or leave. I find she is being overcast as the quirky, pretty girl in too many films (Elf, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy). But together they make this film a a classic love story (which is not a love story) that all should see.
It is odd how much I loved this movie when you consider that the main theme has been explored so many times. But I loved the characters and I loved the way they told the 500 day story by jumping back and forth through the timeline. And the ending was perfect.
Other highlights was the main character's more mature younger sister giving him advice, especially the moment when she tells him to stop only seeing the good times and remember all the bad times too (and then we see some flashbacks again from a different perspective. The one downside was that the main character was a little TOO forgiving of Zooey's character.
Overall, a must see movie. Not a feel good movie but one that hits all the right notes.
