This movie was AWFUL. I like raunchy comedies. I like absurd raunchy comedies. I hated this movie.
This movie wanted to be like the Hangover, or 40 Year Old Virgin, or There's Something About Mary...but it failed at every level.
The comedy parts aren't funny. The characters aren't sympathetic. The plot is painfully obvious. The touching parts feel cloying. The "embarrassing situations" the protagonists get into are embarrassing for the viewer to watch - you feel pity for the (better-than-the-material) leads, for having to be in the movie.
It felt like a movie made by a committee. And we all know how funny committees can be.
The movie was bad in every way. And that's just the ugly....oh, never mind.Very ugly, little truth - vonnyb
This was even worse than I expected. Really poor script and mostly bad (occasionally terrible) acting. The best and funniest parts were the really crude ones (and there are some really nasty, R-rated lines) as they brought the characters to life more than the normally stilted dialogue.Truth is in the eye of the beholder - AandW
I rented this for my wife as she is a big fan of Heigl (Izzy from Grey's Anatomy) and of course the occasional chick flick get me some nice brownie points. Well, this one was better than I expected. Of course it was predictable. But it had funny parts. So, guys if you are looking a chick flick that is tolerable, give this one a go.
