Halloween 2
Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 picks up at the exact moment that 2007's box-office smash, Halloween stopped and follows the aftermath of Michael Myers's (Tyler Mane) murderous rampage through the eyes of heroine Laurie Strode (Scout Taylor Compton).
Evil has a new destiny. Michael Myers is back in this terrifying sequel to Rob Zombie's visionary re-imagining of Halloween which grossed almost $80 million worldwide. It is that time of year again, and Michael Myers has returned home to sleepy Haddonfield, Illinois to take care of some unfinished family business. Unleashing a trail of terror that only horror master Zombie can, Myers will stop at nothing to bring closure to the secrets of his twisted past. But the town's got an unlikely new hero, if they can only stay alive long enough to stop the unstoppable.

John Carpenter's Halloween this is not. It is BRUTALLY violent, bloody and gory; much more in the vein of "Saw" or "House of 1000 Corpses" then a classic horror movie. I do respect Mr. Zombie's take on the story; he is trying to make Myers an ACTUAL psychopath driven by visions of his dead mother rather than a supernatural, undying demon from Hell ( although how this guy takes the pounding he does and keeps walking is beyond me). Personally I prefer Carpenter's version which, despite it's lack of gore, has far more tense moments. I did enjoy both of Zombie's versions though. Worth a look. 3 out 5 stars.Halloween II - ezza
Simply put, along with the first Rob Zombie movie, this version of Halloween is twisted, dark, and real. I like the different outlook to his versions of the films as he explains more and why things happen. It has just as many scares, just as much gore, and just as good soundtrack to complement the movies actions and events.

I know I am in the minority opinion but this along with Zombie's first Halloween movie are brilliant movies.
The serial killer flick scraped down to it's bare essence. It's brutal, it's ugly and there aren't any "funny" moments like you would see in Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm street. But it achieves a kind of low-rent poetry of brutality.
Forget the criticism about the F-bombs flying. If the F-Bomb offends your delicate sensibility then why are you watching a Rob Zombie movie anyway?
Oh yeah, as a bonus it is amazingly shot with some beautiful imagery.
