When a maid is shot dead in the Hamptons, private investigator Linus (Roy Scheider, in his final starring role) must play a dangerous game of cat and mouse with the chief suspect Davis Meyers (Bill Sage), a trophy husband with something to hide in this Hitchcockian tale of infidelity, lust and murder.
