Humor is a very personal thing, so I don't think anyone can say in absolute terms whether this is a good or bad movie. I mean I cannot stand slapstick comedy, but I would never say Buster Keaton was an unfunny comedian or his movies worthless to anyone but myself.
With Jennifer's body, you get a movie with an intelligent, witty script; and realistic kids. The plot isn't terribly interesting, but this isn't a plot driven movie, nor is it a special effects or sex driven movie. It's about dialog and characters.
So I'd recommend Jennifer's Body if you liked the dialog in Juno, Heathers, Rushmore, or Election. Not As Bad As Expected.... - killericequeen
Okay....so the plot and writing are pretty thin. But you sort of expect that if you are planning to watch a teen slasher flick anyway. Megan Fox played the part of a vapid teen (perfect fit in my opinion), and played it well... Amanda Seyfried was pretty interesting in this movie and I really enjoyed her performance. So for anyone who likes to switch off and just stare at the boob tube for some silly entertainment, this movie fits the bill.Seductively vacuous - IPSC_DVC
I had way low expectations going in, but I would spend 102 minutes watching Megan Fox fold laundry. I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, the plot is a retread of a dozen other similar films, but such is this often the case with satire. Cody wrote another good screenplay. Fox played her character to a tee - seductively vacuous. Perhaps that's not a big stretch for her, but it is what the character called out for.
