The Haunted Airman
Flight Lieutenant Tony Jugg, confined to a wheelchair after being wounded in action, arrives at a remote mansion in Wales to recuperate. Suffering terrible nightmares and visions, he suspects the methods of his psychiatrist, Dr Hal Burns. His beautiful aunt, Julia, seems to be the only person he can trust – until circumstances make him doubt even her intentions.

A young airman ends up in a weird medical institution in order to recover from his military injuries both physical and emotional. You can feel what a person could go through after being in similar situation and one develops simpathy for the chap, although I really think he should stop smokking, he smokes way too much in this movie. Almost every shot he lights up or is smoking a cigarette. I did get scared a couple of times with all the shadows and scrawling things.Very Boring - 0930tracey
After the first few minutes of The Haunted Airman, I found myself nodding off...it was only 2 in the afternoon! I had heard ok things about this movie, so I decided to Zip it and check it out. I didn't like the way it was shot, the acting was ho-hum, and it was just a very slow plot. I don't recommend this film. At all.You know the saying: "A movie adaptation is never as good as the Book!" - movie_goer
I walked into The Haunted Airman with a non-bias mindframe, an unsure what to expect. I put aside my loath of Robert Pattinson for a moment and was pleasently surprised by his acting ability. Before he was Twilights heart throb or full of contraversy he was working up the Ladder in BBC's small project shorts. Director Chris Dulcher rewrote Dennis Wheatley's Orginal Novel Titled The Haunting of Toby Jugg. If you seek Classic peices about WW2 you'll enjoy it's offbeat cynicalism and dark appeal. I admit Pattinson left his comfort zone for a more sophisticated and mature role that's complex and proved hope lingers after the Vampire saga dies down. (However here's my only beef about Pattinson he: lacks Hygiene and really needs to clean his ears.)
