The Children
A family anticipates a Christmas filled with sledding, laughter and hot cocoa as they head to their vacation home in the secluded backcountry. The holiday cheer takes a turn for the worse after a mysterious flu-like virus sweeps through the kids, and one by one the children become deadly. Well, this is one of the more disturbing movies I've seen in a while. I guess any movie where the cute kids are the monsters will tend to be that. I can say this movie is not the most scary or exciting thing you will ever see, but there are many creepy moments. being a father myself, I found this movie made me feel rather queasy. Worth a rent. 3 out 5 stars. The kids are not alright (but this movie is). - Fudgeflaps
This movie about a bunch of normal family children who turn into homicidal monsters is one of the best British horror films I've seen, and certainly one of the best overall in the killer kids genre.
The acting, direction, writing and story are all solid.
I definitely recommend it for fans of horror.
Others be warned, however: there are a lot of intense moments and bloody mayhem.Doesn't pull any punches - TheKeywork
Creepy kids are the scariest thing in movies today. Next to Dolls with glassy eyes...
You get what you expect with this movie....kids getting sick then going on a rampage...
What I didn't expect was the level of violence. Usually, when kids are involved, things are toned down. You gotta hand it to the film makers, then went for it and delivered. A few moments delivered the "I can't believe they just did that!" look on my face. Bravo.
Well acted, well directed, a great little horror treat.
