Pandorum
Fear what happens next.
It's pitch black on an abandoned ship 500 miles from Earth. For crew members corporal Bower (Ben Foster of 3:10 To Yuma) and Lt. Payton (Dennis Quaid of Vantage Point) an unflinching vision of terror is about to be unleashed.
From the creators of the Resident Evil films comes a horrifying descent into madness for a pair of astronauts who wake up in a hyper-sleep chamber, disoriented, with no memory of how they got there. With an unspeakable horror lurking around every corner, the astronauts uncover the terrifying reality that the survival of mankind hinges on their actions, fear what happens next....
Cam Gigandet (Never Back Down, Twilight) and Cung Le (Tekken, Fighting) also star in this intense thriller from director Christian Alvart (Antibodies).

This was a wonderful movie, a glorious hybrid of science fiction and horror/suspense. The people aboard this ultra-long range starship have to deal with some monster-type danger. While that part seemed unlikely, all SF movies are unlikely. If they only dealt with likely occurances there would be no light sabers, faster than light ships, alien battles, etc.
Overall a fantastic movie with a fantastic ending.Resident Alien - Avinash
This movies tries to infuse the elemets of two movies: Resident Evil and Alien together and i can say it delivers quite an unexpected package to satisfy the sci fi lover. The gore, the action and the original plot is very commendable. The cast works hard to deliver and the movie unfolds with great tempo and objectivity.Okay, not great. - JuicyFruit
Visually pretty good- but the Mad Max look and the set designs, while really very well-made, are completely nonsensical in the context of a very long-range spacecraft; I do wish most moviemakers would use half a brain cell and maybe consult scientists and engineers and not just rely on 'artists' for sci-fi because they just continually drop the ball. Why do the 'creatures' wear spiky shoulder guards? Why are the 'passengers' in large open chambers full of sunken floors and steps? Why are the ship's interiors often reminiscent of 19th century power plants with lots of big bolts and rust everywhere? And on what planet is a Lieutenant in charge and a Corporal the engineering expert of a flight crew? It's like the writer just picked a few things he'd seen in some war movie and decided to use them without understanding their meaning. It makes no sense. And why is everone a Kung-fu expert? Both scientists AND creatures? BUT the movie is entertaining enough, and really the flaws are more disappointing in the sense that if they'd been done right, which they totally could have, the movie would be a LOT better rather than them significantly detracting from it. It's not really at all original, nor particularly compelling- the characters are pretty one-dimensional and I never identified or empathized with any of them- but Pandorum was still worth watching if you don't expect much from it. Visually, apart from the silliness of design, it's very good, so I suppose that makes up for a lot. As is sadly all that can be said of so many movies these days, I didn't regret watching it- but that's the extent of the positive I can say.
