Capitalism: A Love Story
Moore has "dug up some astonishing dirt" (Brian D. Johnson, Macleans), stories told in the faces of the foreclosed and evicted, in the food stamps received by hungry airline pilots, and in the courage of fired factory workers who refuse to go quietly. But more than a cry of despair, Moore's film raises the possibility of hope. Capitalism: A Love Story is "The most American of films since the populist cinema of Frank Capra (It's A Wonderful Life)" (Dan Siegel, Huffington Post), "a movie that manages shrewdly, even brilliantly, to capitalize on the populist anger that has been sweeping the nation" (Joe Morgenstern, Wall Street Journal).

I love how Michael Moore is able to pull a bunch of seemingly different threads to create a single narrative. We see Wall Street, we see 1950s ideals come crashing down, we see the housing crisis.
A very topical film considering the Occupy Wall Street protest that is happening this very minute.
I am glad that someone gets angry about these things - but he's still a moviemaker - some documentaries can just be so badly thrown together.

okay, one has to assume that Moore is always going to fill a documentary with doom and gloom. However, one can always count on him to expose the dirtly little secrets of our world. It is important for people to take a critical look at how business and the economy work and understand it for what it is - a system based on greed and collection of wealth to fewer and fewer individuals.
What is lacking is the analysis - Moore loves to point out the bad but rarely manages to create insight into how we might change the system and the steps we can take to do soNeeds more Elizabeth Warren - DaisySteiner
I'm not a huge Michael Moore fan, although not because I don't agree with many of his arguments. I think he just loves beating a dead horse. This film is a good example of that. It's terribly depressing at times, but it's the sort of film that should be watched by exactly the type of person who would never watch it. SIGH.
