Couples Retreat starts out fun before gradually getting annoying and then becoming downright aggravating. A lazy underwritten comedy script.
The only thing that will keep your attention for the duration is the stunning Tahitian scenery that acts the films setting.Hilarious Couple Fun - MrsH
We saw this movie in the theatre with another couple, and we all just died laughing. As I have said before I am a huge Vince Vaughn fan. The cast is exceptional, the script can easily bring a smile to your face and leave you cheeks hurting from laughing. With a realistic storyline about how couple's can easily lose track with one another in day to day life, especially when work and children etc are involved, its easy to relate to. I was a little hesitant to get this movie because of this sites reviews....well it just shows you that not everyone has the same taste in movies. We found this movie to be a funny, thought provoking (on a couples level), and well there was nothing we didn't like about this movie - it won't win an oscar....but hey 95% of movies never do. The scenery is beautiful...Bora Bora in Tahiti. As light comedies go, they should all be this well done.
