Avatar
Winner of 3 Oscars

From James Cameron, Director of "Terminator 2" and "Titanic"

Set in the future, Avatar is the story of a paraplegic ex-Marine, Jake (Sam Worthington, Clash of the Titans). Following the death of his brother, he finds himself thrust into hostilities on an alien planet called Pandora, filled with exotic humanoid life forms, the "Na'vi".

Jake soon learns of a greedy corporate figurehead Parker Selfridge (Giovanni Ribisi, Public Enemies), whose intentions are of driving off the Na'vi to mine for precious material scattered throughout their rich woodland. In exchange for a spinal surgery that will fix his legs, Jake gathers intel for the cooperating military unit spearheaded by gung-ho Colonel Quaritch (Stephen Lang, Public Enemies), all while simultaneously attempting to infiltrate the "Na'vi" people. However, Jake quickly begins to bond with the native tribe and falls in love with the beautiful alien named Neytiri (Zoe Saldana, Death at a Funeral), while the ruthless Colonel moves forward with his extermination tactics, forcing Jake to take a stand - and fight back in an epic battle for the fate of Pandora.
