5150 Elm's Way (5150, Rue des Ormes)
5150 Elm's Way is located at the end of a quiet street in a small town. When Yannick Bérubé falls off his bike, he knocks at the door of the Beaulieu residence so he can clean the blood off his hands. But Jacques Beaulieu and his family have other plans for Yannick. Beaulieu is a righteous psychopath and fanatical chess player who wants to rid the world of evil. And even though Yannick has done nothing wrong, he is beaten, tortured and tormented before Beaulieu makes him an offer: win at chess and he is free to go. And so Yannick is now a pawn in Beaulieu's game—one in which he will either lose his mind or his life.

Imagine if that jovial taxi driver that took you to the airport was doing something odd on his spare time. Everyone has had neighbours who keep to themselves just a little too much and you know there’s something going on behind closed doors. Part of the weight that this film carries may be because it is filmed in a home that looks like it could be found in any regular Canadian neighbourhood. As a Quebecer, it was even more disturbing for me because the father reminds me of so man people that I’ve met before.Très bien! - Mi74
J'ai lu le roman 5150 rue des ormes, écrit par Patrick Senegal (que je vous recommande) avant de voir le film. Personnellement, j'ai préférée le roman, mais j'ai été impressionnée comment le film se rapproche du roman. Le jeu des acteurs est excellent! On ressent le drame psychologique que vit la famille Beaulieu et la victime. Un bon film à voir.
