Edge of Darkness
The bullet that killed his daughter was meant for Boston cop Thomas Craven. That's what police brass and Craven himself think, but that's not what the investigation finds. Clue after clue and witness after witness, the search leads him into a shadowy realm where money and political intrigue intersect. If Craven wasn't a target before, he - and anyone linked to his inquiry - now is. Mel Gibson stars in his first screen lead in eight years, making Craven's grief palpable and his quest for payback stone-cold and relentless. Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) directs from a screenplay co-written by The Departed's William Monahan. Gibson is back, taking us to the edge... and into the sinister darkness.

This is not a bad movie at all.
The story line is good.
It's just to easy to see what's coming!
Situations get resolved to easily and quickly. (That's the plague of movies getting edited to fit under a time restriction)
Buy the time you get invested in a situation....it's over.
But like a said ....... not a bad movie.Great flick - Treyab73
Always been a Mel Gibson fan and wasn't disappointed. Good to see him back on the other side of the camera. Great story line, lots of action. Twists and turns. Not as predictable as most action movies are. I enjoyed the characters. Well worth the rent.Could do better - Woody2
This is a remake of a BBC TV series made in 1985. This has bigger names ( at least in North America), bigger budget, more blood, violence, etc. Quite good, but nothing compared to the original series. That is edgier, gritty characters, political connivance at it's best. So, enjoy this if you like Mel Gibson, but to really feel how conspiracies affect us all- go for the original.
Top marks to the actress playing Mel's daughter as a child- she is so believable.
