The phrase in the description, "all on their own search for hope and redemption", is not accurate. Unless I missed something, 1 or 2 or them weren't interested in any of that. I think that it was used too loosely, to make the movie look richer and more meaningful.
I checked the display so often to see how much more of the movie there was.
Some of the characters seemed unusual, in that the story never clearly explained why they were the way they were. The story never explained a couple of the motivations very well.
When I saw this movie, I thought that it could be a good movie, and I respected the fact that they took risks by using stop animation. Also, Geoffrey Rush and Anthony LaPaglia are respected actors.
However, the movie really fell short when it came to story. A lot of those scenes could have been removed, and more scenes added to create depth.

I liked this movie a lot for many reasons, but also saw many faults with it...
The movie is abou different people, characters, tryign to find their own meaning of life. Each one of them is at a different point in their lives, with their own problems and issues, so it is interesting for sure. It has a humane quality to it, good mesasge overall, but the story did not seem to go anywhere with a couple of characters, particularly Lenny. i wont give away anything not spoil it for other people, but let me just say one word - beenie bag - and how weird that was , and im still very confused about that aspect, and you can decide for yourself :)
I mostly liked the father and the song who lives with him relationship, it was very sweet and very real i think of single fathers in real life who live with adult sons while theyr'e struggling to find themselves ..It was interesting - 81Lucy
This movie was at times amusing, but overall a little boring. It seemed to go nowhere and the plot never developed into anything. The animation was not impressive, it looked like something a child could draw. I'd like to say its worth a watch, but it would probably be a waste of your time.
