Long and kinda dull - Picker_of_Movies
First of all there seems to be something wrong with the film to DVD transfer. The picture is kinda red. I find it hard to believe the director wanted everything shaded red.
That aside, the movie is 2.5 hours long and didn't really need to be. It's not as though a lot of the tone of the movie would have been lost if it were edited a little more concisely.
I watched it in French with the English sub-titles, as I don't know any French. I got the impression the French dialogue was supposed to be written and delivered in a certain style but it didn't translate very well to English sub-titles. The actors delivered their lines quick and short. However, the sub-titles didn't convey that same quick precise style.
The story was rather simple and not very well told. All in all I can't recommend this film.
