Kick-Ass
"How come nobody's ever tried to be a superhero?" When Dave Lizewski - ordinary New York teenager and rabid comic-book geek - dons a green-and-yellow Internet-bought wetsuit to become the no-nonsense vigilante Kick-Ass, he soon finds an answer to his own question: because it hurts. But, over coming all the odds, the eager yet inexperienced Dave quickly becomes a phenomenon, capturing the imagination of the public. However, he's not the only superhero out there - the fearless and highly trained father-daughter crime-fighting duo, Big Daddy and Hit-Girl, have been slowly but surely taking down the criminal empire of local mafioso Frank D'Amico. And, as Kick-Ass gets drawn into their no-holds-barred world of bullets and bloodletting with Frank's son Chris, now reborn as Kick-Ass's arch-nemesis Red Mist, the stage is set for a final showdown between the forces of good and evil, in which the DIY hero will have to live up to his name. Or die trying...

Kick-Ass. Full of action, a** kicking and more! But here's the deal: it's kids taking justice into their own hands. And apparently, if you wear a costume and give yourself a secret identity, it doesn't matter if you kill someone! It's all good! Even if you're 11 years old. You're a superhero! Why wouldn't it be ok?
Entertainment point of view: fun movie if you're into the superhero genre. It's got everything you'd expect from this type of movie!
On the 'lesson' point of view: kids might take this movie as an anthem and a way to solve their problems. Train to kill someone, put on a silly costume, and go!...
In other words: watch it, just not with your kids. And make sure your kids understand that it's a movie ... not an example.Fantastic Entertainment - c4th
Kids deciding to become superheroes? Come on. How good can that be? I’ll tell you. Kick-Ass is fantastic entertainment. Matthew Vaughn, (screenwriter and director) and Jane Goldman (screenwriter) put together a perfect cocktail of fantasy, humour, and action. If you love comic book superhero movies, you will love this. If you hate movies about comic book superheroes you’ll find this one completely different. Vaughn gives the superhero genre a fresh new spin that manages to make fantasy believable.
Kick-Ass combines humour, violence and innovative story telling in an action adventure about teenage angst, revenge, and vigilantism. The fight scenes are superbly choreographed and edited. The accompanying musical score is a perfect selection that adds to the excitement. Forget Batman or Spiderman. It’s much more fun to join Kick-Ass (Aaron Johnson), Hit Girl (Chloe Moretz) and Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) as they take on an evil crime family.I agree with all reviews... - Drew777
but in the end it was a great movie.
You can complain about the violence, the language, etc...
But you have to keep in mind that the movie is really kind of far fetched. I'm trying not to spoil anything but I found it to be honest and refreshing. It wasnt a spoof, it wasnt a comedy, it wasnt a kid's movie. The girl stole the show.
As far as a bad influence, maybe we should stop staring at the TV for bad influences and start holding our world leaders to task more.
OOPS!!! POLITICAL RANT!!! I'LL BE ON MY WAY NOW!!!
