Harry Brown
Every man has a breaking point.
Set in modern-day Britain, Harry Brown follows one man's (Sir Michael Caine) journey through a chaotic world where drugs are the currency of the day and guns run the streets. A modest law-abiding citizen, Harry Brown is a retired Marine and a widower who lives alone on a depressed housing estate. His only company is his best friend Leonard (David Bradley). When Leonard is murdered by a gang of thugs, Harry feels compelled to act and is forced to dispense his own brand of justice.

Review - Harry Brown - maw-
I always love Michael Caine, and he's great as usual in this gritty crime drama. The movie follows Harry as he turns from a mild mannered pensioner to a killer bent on revenge. The people who found this movie slow have probably watched too much Borne. This is a character driven, finely crafted film. The Breaking Point begins... - movie_goer
"Harry Brown is a must see, Michael Caine is brillant, and proves that at any age your not to be reckoned with!"
The omnious, gritty drama is a modern day eye opener to how violence has taken control of everything that was once pure. This indie striked a cord, that was profound, and left me thinking about the war in Iraq isn't just a blazen problem, the real battle starts right outside your door. Harry Brown reminded me of Dexter meets James Bond but better. It's rare to find a film that sticks in the back of your mind, it's a breath of fresh air that Harry Brown was realistic and didn't require over the top fighting sequences- just inhumanity of a person kicking a person down was enough to cringe.Excellant - Panjan
The movie is a bit slower than the usual American samples from this genre but it only adds to being drawn into the story and identifying with the main character played "unblinkingly' by Michael Caine.
Although story is somewhat predictable in general development it gritty realism and un-expectant details make me watch with rapture.
If you want a movie to make you think, move and entertain (in that order) rent Harry Brown.
