What contrasting upbringings and environments, yet the babies still go through strikingly similar developments and milestones. It goes to show that babies are actually quite durable and are more intelligent than you would think as they learn quickly about their surroundings. A must watch for new parents like myself with a 2.5 month old daughter.ok - cloicker
My 2 year old son really enjoyed this movie. He enjoyed watching the other babies and seeing the things they did and laughed along with them and made all the funny sounds and songs. Personally I felt this may not have represented all the countries fairly but it was an example of 4 babies first year. You could do the same sort of movie with 4 very different children just in North America alone. If all babies make you go...AWWW...watch this! - BrightAngel
I am fascinated watching babies, anyone's babies. I can't keep my eyes off them. Then again, I have a baby of my own at the moment so maybe that explains my preoccupation for babies. The movie did not give any details, any context, any explanations...nothing...just lots of footage of babies doing baby things. I loved it! A couple of the cultures were very different from my own so I really enjoyed watching how their children thrived in environments my culture would describe as unsuitable. I think I appreciate the "natural" baby a little more! Maybe I might be a little less uptight from now on...
