Solitary Man
Ben (Michael Douglas) once ruled a car-dealership empire vast enough to fuel a glossy Manhhattan lifestyle, but a business scandal cost him his income and his marriage to Nancy (Susan Sarandon). Now, his ever-present lust for every passing attractive woman threatens to take what little he has left unless he can learn to put his loved ones before himself.

I totally agree with Amadeus. It was along movie.
When will Michael Douglas and grow up. He plays a lech as he is a lech. He should have been a teen in this flic as it was "all about me" both in script and his face front and center on the screen the whole time.
Danny Dovito was a great role but he was pushed under as was Susan S. who had a good role but shuffled off to the side.

I was not quite as impressed with this movie as some of the other reviewers ... but I am not really a Michael Douglas fan, either. I thought the movie was well-acted and directed - I just was not crazy about the story line. I do believe Michael Douglas was the perfect actor for the part - he made the character convincing. He had an excellent supporting cast as well which kept the movie from being a complete bomb for me.Solitary Man - Toasted101
This was a great film. The script was very strong of a man failing to give in or up in the face of personal and professional defeat in spite of his failings. The cast was stellar and kept my attention on high alert throughout the evening. Michael Douglas has had many great films and parts awarded him and this is amongst his best.
