Abandoned
Brittany Murphy stars as Mary, who brings her new boyfriend (Dean Cain) to the hospital for minor outpatient surgery. But when she returns later to pick him up, he has mysteriously vanished. The police can’t help her. Is the hospital administrator involved in a cover-up? Could Mary’s increasingly frantic state be connected to her previous psychiatric issues? Is it possible her boyfriend doesn’t exist at all?

I did not expect much from this movie after reading some reviews. But when we watched it I have to say it was not that bad. I sat through the hole thing. It has some different twists and turns. Now saying that there are movies I could watch again and this is not one of them. It was worth seeing but not worthing speading any more money then a rental on it.Abandoned - Harris
Terrible script. Full of holes. Very inaccurate portrayal of how the financial systems in North America work. The detective does not tackle the most obvious issues in a logical manner. It results in pure frustration for the viewer.
Don't bother to watchSo bad it's good - eoguy
Some people will think it's a tragedy that Murphy's final significant film role was a flop, but there is enough disastrous filmmaking in here to make for a good time.
I saw the movie with one of my friends and by the time it was over our faces were sore because we laughed so hard.
The plotline of Abandoned is ludicrous and predictable at the same time. Key characters disappear from the movie with no explanation, Murphy's makeup and hair looks like a cross between a reggae star and a clown, and poor Bogdanovich -- I have no idea what he's doing in a movie of this low calibre.
Abandoned must've been shot in a handful of days on a shoe-string budget because the camerawork is shoddy (in one scene it looks like someone keeps hitting the tripod), while the stunts are, well, nonexistent (see the car crash scene which shows no impact or damage).
Add to that some ballistics work that must've been done with toy guns and a plot twist that you can see from the start, and you get something that will please fans of the so-bad-it's-good genre.
