Ondine
The truth is not what you know. It's what you believe.
Ondine is the story of Syracuse, a simple fisherman who catches a beautiful and mysterious woman in his trawler nets. The woman seems to be dead, but then she comes alive before Syracuse's eyes, and he thinks he may be seeing things. However, with the help of his irrepressible daughter, Annie, he comes to believe that the fantastical might be possible and that the woman (Ondine) might be a myth come true. Ondine and Syracuse fall passionately in love, but just as we think the fairytale might go on forever, the real world intercedes.

Sweet and confusing - GreenTomato
I did find this movie a little confusing however it is throughly sweet and enjoyable.
Cast was really good, solid storyline, great acting.
It does keep you throughout the full movie.
A love story with a twist and one that I definately recommend.Great Story - LilyandMick
I was surprise to see how good this movie was. Both of main actors were perfectly good playing the romantic part and the child adds little more to the story as well. And the storyline was quite good throughout the movie including ending. Their accents adds up into their charactors.Enjoyable movie from Ireland - Fudgeflaps
I really enjoyed Ondine.
The cast and story are good, and young Allison Barry does a commendable job as Annie, Syracuse's brainy daughter.
The director also deserves credit for not allowing the at times slow-paced movie from getting mired in boredom, a problem that happens all too often in the world of cinema.
If you're looking for a solid drama with a hint of fantasy Ondine is a good choice.
