I don't know how anyone could not like this movie. Yes it is not the blockbuster hit but it must hit home to everyone no matter what your religious beliefs are. Everyone has been in high school and either part of the in group or the loser group. Wonderful portrayal of this time frame and really makes you think about how you treat people really does have consequences.About as subtle as a sledgehammer - Salinger
I really shouldn't knock this movie as it is listed under "religion & spirituality", a fact which I somehow completely missed. About 20 minutes into the 120 minute, incredibly poorly acted snooze fest, it becomes abundantly clear: Christians = accepting & good (well, at least in this movie if not in real life) and non-believers = callous and uncaring (to the point of being dismissive over a high school kid's suicide not to mention cheaters and bad parents).
Sorry, not much of a review I know, I just wanted to ensure people who might be considering this are aware of where this film is coming from, in case they missed it like I did.Great movie - d101010
I loved this movie. The basic question the movie is trying to answer is.. are you going to save your face, or save other's life. That's the basic dilemma all of us face everyday. The story gives you courage to choose the right one for ourselves in our daily life. After all, when no face needs to be saved, then we have the face.
