This is about the 4th times I've seen this movie and I'm not bored yet. It is an excellent inspirational story... though there are parts of the plot I didn't like, I think the overall message to enjoy life and not take things quite so seriously is timeless. Favorite line: "Smile from your liver!"eat pray meh ... - tylerwharper
This film was incredibly boring. We kept looking at the clock, and when we discovered that our agony was only half over, oy! We should have brought books to read while we endured this snoozer.
Visually, the film was beautiful. The scenery in Italy was inspiring and romantic, and it was a nice and stark contrast to the poverty and sheer other-worldliness of India. If there's one thing we enjoyed about this film, it was the location changes.
We weren't the biggest fans or proponents for Liz Gilbert's seemingly laissez-faire attitude about marriage and commitment. Sure, we all need to 'find' ourselves and establish identities, but these discoveries should not come at the expense of family relationships.Eat Pray Love - hope the book is better - libby58
Movie was kind of boring. Agree with others there is no chemistry between Julia and the love interest. Also, this movie kind of upsets me--it seems to really devalue marriage. Her husband made some very good points in the meeting with the lawyer and she had no good response. What is that?? Anyway, I hope the book's better at portraying their split-up. Not worth renting.
