Dean Spanley
Set in Edwardian England where upper lips are always stiff and men from the Colonies are not entirely to be trusted, Fisk Senior (Peter O'Toole) has little time or affection for his son (Jeremy Northam), but when the pair visit an eccentric Indian, they start a strange journey that eventually allows the old man to find his heart. Also starring Sam Neill and Bryan Brown, Dean Spanley is a story that will warm the heart of even the meanest scrooge!

A Surprize from New Zealand - Iolanthe
I did not expect much from Dean Spanley, but was thoroughly entertained. Guess it is not for everyone... lots of talking, and the plot depends on quirky characters. If you thought "Inception" was the best movie of 2010, you probably won't be impressed. But if you like films such as the recent, "King's Speech", give it a try. Attention dog-a-holics -- if you believe that home is where the dog is, you will enjoy Dean Spanley.what amazing performances - tbird
i loved this film and cannot say enough good things about it. it was funny, witty and sad.i am surprised that i didn't find it at the theaters.
peter o tool has such a rich voice. the storyline is original to say the least.it is not common to watch a film and laugh one moment and feel sad the next. the film has a lot to say.
