A near riot ensues. Seven years later, Coco Chanel meets Stravinsky again - a penniless refugee living in exile after the Russian Revolution. The attraction between them is immediate and electric. Coco offers Stravinsky and his family the use of her villa in Garches so that he will be able to continue his work. And so a passionate, intense love affair between two fascinating creative giants begins.

Review - Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinksy - maw-
I agree with previous reviews that this was a rather slow movie, but I still found it interesting. I especially liked the performance of "Sacre de printemps", which was one of the pivotal works of modern art. I found the actors captured their characters very well (I'm still not over Audrey Tautou's horrendous characterization!).Slow but beautifully filmed - BillBC
A beautifully filmed story, but very very slow. I found the characters wooden and unconvincing, and their passion for each other hard to understand above the level of simple lust. The best part of the film is the opening depiction of the premiere of Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring," which caused a riot in Paris in 1913. But if you don't like Stravinsky or slow-moving costume dramas, you should give this one a pass....Beautifuil Story Of Desire & Genius - jagfilm
A wonderful story of two geniuses in their respective fields whose ignite a flame of passion. The story follows the tumultuous love affair between Coco Chanel and Igor Stravinsky after that begins when the fashion icon puts up the struggling classical composer in her summer home. Deeply romantic and moving the film boasts strong performances and stunning cinematographer; the sequence involving the creation of Chanel No. 5 is worth watching alone.
