A tsunami nearly kills a vacation woman; a young boy loses a younger bother to a car accident. Then there’s this other man other the other side of the world which has the skill to connect spiritually with people alive and dead. This special skill causes him all kinds of trouble in his own life, and he chooses not to use this skill anymore. This movie was just okay. I nearly didn't finish watching, it seemd to drag, but I did want to see what happened in the end. The acting was good. There were several stories going on at one time, and while I think the story could have been good, it was just a slow story line.a rather slow melange of different stories - Scopitone
Normally you can always count on Clint Eastwood to knock 'em out of the park - it's not that his movies are always amazing but he knows how to give you a good cinematic bang for your buck, so to speak. I liked The Changeling. I really liked Gran Torino. He knows how to hit your emotions without being cheap - but this was just kind of boring. I wanted to like it, but I found myself losing interest.
