Fair Game
From the director of The Bourne Identity comes this riveting thriller inspired by the experiences of real-life CIA officer Valerie Plame (Academy Award nominee Naomi Watts). When Plame's retired ambassador husband Joe Wilson (played by Academy Award winner Sean Penn) writes a newspaper article challenging the basis for the U.S. war on Iraq, the White House leaks Plame's undercover status-leaving her international contacts vulnerable, her career in shambles and her life in danger. Crackling with sharp dialogue, gripping intrigue and heart-pounding suspense, Fair Game is the adventure that's so unbelievable, it can only be real.

A great movie that will keep you guessing until the end. It was a little hard to follow with all the "technical" and political jargon.
Great acting from all. Enough twists to keep you interested and of course its a true story so it touches on the heart strings.Great Drama - Exhilarating Suspense - The Truth - c4th
I can still remember when I first started hearing ads on the TV using the phrase “We will not be afraid.” and wondering if Americans would pick up on their real purpose. I’ve always been perplexed at how oblivious many Americans can be to their own government’s propaganda. Fair Game attempts to clearly demonstrate the lengths to which some officials will go to manipulate facts that influence major political decisions particularly when it comes to foreign policy and military force.
A fact finding mission by Joe Wilson suggested that notions that Iraq was importing massive quantities of yellow cake uranium as well as manufactured goods intended for separating isotopes was unfounded. The movie, Fair Game, contends that Scooter Libby set out to discredit Wilson’s report by outing his wife, Valerie Plame as a CIA operative and implying Wilson’s recruited involvement was due to this alone.
The movie operates on several levels. I was particularly fascinated by depictions of propaganda being perpetuated. Someone at the dinner table suggests imported aluminum tubes are “packed with uranium”. Libby takes the probability that a viable nuclear weapons program exists and then multiplies that by the population of USA suggesting the resulting figure represents some type of mortality figure.
The movie also explores effects of the whole affair on the marriage of Joe Wilson and Valerie Plume, dramatically portrayed through incredible performances from Naomi Watts and Sean Penn. The consequences for cooperative individuals gathering intelligence in Iraq is even more heartbreaking.
Fair Game is a powerful movie that not only reveals the truth behind the rationalization laid out for invading Iraq but also entertains through great drama presented with exhilarating suspense. I highly recommend you place it near the top of your zip list.Very Interesting! - CheeryCherry
It's very hard to know what to believe with regards to the media. They seem to pride themselves on 'chasing the truth'... yet movie like this continue to come out. It's hard to judge what is truth however, the 'story' was very, very interesting and well acted. It kept you hooked right to the end... I highly recommend giving this a watch!
