Season of the Witch
Oscar winner Nicolas Cage (National Treasure, Ghost Rider) and Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Hellboy II) star in this supernatural action adventure about a heroic Crusader and his fellow soldier who must transport a woman accused of being a witch to a remote monastery. The arduous journey across perilous terrain tests their strength and courage as they discover the girl's secret and find themselves battling a terrifyingly powerful force that will determine the fate of the world.

There has never been an actor like nic cage and there never will be again the amount of effort he puts intoeach role will never be rivaled he is better than every actor put together then taken apart again and put back together in some more elaborate pattern but not as elaborte as Nicolas Cage's acting chopslololDark - bbryon1
Enjoyed it. Lots of dark, ominous scenery and FX enhanced cinematography. It's about time Nick Cage delivered a subdued and measured performance, instead of his usual over-the-top manipulation of most movies he's in. It allowed a crack for some of the others to come thru' with good performances of their own - including 'Hellboy' originator, Ron Perlman. Good capsulated review of the Crusades at the beginning of the movie, as a prelude to what was in store for our anti-heroes in the end. There's nothing cutting edge or Oscar-worthy about it, but that doesn't mean you won't have fun watching Nic Cage and Ron Perlman bouncing one-liners off each other.
As a pair of seasoned Crusaders enlisted to transport a suspected witch to the remote abbey whose monks are known for their "witching" abilities, Behman and Felson (Cage and Perlman, respectively) fear no opponents. But when their seemingly defenseless prisoner begins flexing her preternatural muscles, they find themselves having to rely on their wits instead of their swords for a change.
