Crooks and Call Girls Caper
The stakes are high when a high-class hooker, Dawn Devine (Goldie Hawn), and a handsome con man, Joe Collins (Warren Beatty), team up for a Hamburg bank heist. They set their targets on the secret stashes of a shady army sergeant, a German drug dealer and a Vegas mobster. But when the crooks realize they've been double-crossed, Dawn and Joe must run for their lives in order to keep the loot.
Movie icons Warren Beatty and Goldie Hawn heat up the screen in this crime caper by Oscar-winning director Richard Brooks (1960, Best Screenplay, Elmer Gantry).

So goes the line in the great Little Richard song (who knew there were great Little Richard songs?) that plays in this movie along with a super funky Quincy Jones soundtrack. This once hard to find film is available on a bare bones DVD and it's a lot of fun, with a genuinely frightening villain who would not be out of place in a James Bond film. In fact, with a great end confrontation on a train car and the humorous performance of Gert Frobe (Goldfinger) as the bank director, this really feels a bit like Warren Beatty in a James Bond film (if Bond was a con-artist rather than an agent of justice). I love this movie. It's vintage '70s cinema and has one of the longest, greatest chase sequences ever filmed.
