Across the Line: The Exodus of Charlie Wright
Redemption has its place.
When a fugitive-financier (Aidan Quinn) is discovered hiding out in Tijuana, he and his multi-billion dollar stash quickly become prey to a Mexican drug lord, a Russian mobster, and the FBI.
Desperate to payoff a large debt, a besieged local Narco-head (Andy Garcia) rounds up every crooked cop on his payroll to track down the financier and uncover the fortune that could save his family from a gruesome end. Also chasing the money is a retired Russian mobster, who after being swindled by the charismatic crook , dispatches a lethal mercenary team (led by Luke Goss) to bring his nemesis back, dead or alive. Also hot on the trail is the FBI task force officer (Van Peebles) who let the financier slip through his fingers back in the USA. As the groups collide, only one man will walk away with the money in this action-packed thriller.

No thrill in this 'thriller' - JohnKageorge
The slow pace of this story kills any of its positive qualities. Let's start with the up-side. The non-saturated color tones of the film make it interesting to watch some scenes. The lead character, Charlie Wright, is interesting to watch too. After all, anyone running a ponzie scheme must be charasmatic and dispicable at the same time. But the film is painfully slow to watch. My exodus occurred half way through this movie. I fast forwarded to the last 15 minutes. Interestingly, I didn't feel as if I had missed anything.Average Crime Movie - LoriOntario
This was an average crime movie. Andy Garcia did an excellent job portraying a Mexican money launderer and Aidan Quinn did a good job of playing a thief on the run. The other actors were also very good.
This movie had some surprises. It had some action and suspense but it wasn’t bloody or gory.
I would recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys crime DVDs.Across the Line - rudy123
It was okay. The pace was slow and very predictable. Aidan was not as charismatic as I would have expected. Hard to who you should route for, if anyone at all. Good to have some action but the excitement was limited. Watch this when you do not want to concentrate too hard.
