Beastly
Love is never ugly.
Seventeen-year-old Kyle (Alex Pettyfer) is the spoiled, shallow and incredibly popular prince of his high school kingdom. Kyle foolishly chooses Kendra (Mary-Kate Olsen), a witch masquerading as a high school student, as his latest target for humiliation. In order to teach Kyle a lesson, Kendra transforms him into someone as unattractive on the outside as he is on the inside. Now he has one year to find someone to love him, or he will remain Beastly forever. A quiet classmate he never noticed named Lindy (Vanessa Hudgens) may be his best chance to prove that love is never ugly.

A faithful remake of the beloved cartoon classic - me4444
I really enjoyed this movie. Part of its charm were the numerous nods and subtle references to the cartoon version of this story, 'Beauty and the Beast'.
The acting and chemistry between Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer is amazing. The housekeeper and tutor add some comedic relief and are perfect adaptations of the the characters of Mrs. Potts and Lumiere.
If you love the classic story, this updated telling will delight you and is well worth the watch.A Classic to be - papabird
A Classic to be. What a great movie and well acted. This is will be classic. Didn't lose interest at any point in the film. Great story line and well produced. A great date night movie for sure. Don't pass this one up. It's one of those movies you will watch a second time.
