Fast Five
Get ready for "five times the action, excitement and fun" (Shawn Edwards, FOX-TV) as Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead a reunion of all-stars from every chapter of the explosive franchise built on speed. Fugitive Dom Toretto (Diesel) partners with former cop Brian O'Conner (Walker) on the opposite side of the law in exotic Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. There they are hunted by a high-powered U.S. strike force led by its toughest Fed (Dwayne Johnson) and an army of corrupt cops working for a ruthless drug kingpin. To gain their freedom and win this ultimate high-stakes race, they must pull off one last job, an insane heist worth $100 million.

Some good action scenes in this one but the plot doesnt make sense half the time and in one scene, Vinnie beating up The Rock, I mean Come On! I recommend renting Elite Squad, a much more realistic and better action film also set in Rio.
I'm not a fan of the quick cut editing that the director uses a lot so that took away from it too. Wothwhile watching, but only on DVD and only if you rent it on bargain night midweek. The best yet! - dural78
I haven't been a huge fan of the sequels, but this one caught me by surprise. This is without a doubt the best entry in the series.
The dialog will make you groan and the physics may not make sense, but the action sequences are incredible. I consider it superior to anything done by Michael Bay.
Check your mind at the door, and enjoy it.Did you like the other films? - eli_quincy
"Fast Five" is a surprisingly exciting, high-octane action popcorn film with almost no character depth but lots of explosions. Really, if you liked the original Fast and the Furious and have some time for disposable thrills, you could do a lot worse than Fast Five. If you're looking for anything other than cars driving fast and blowing up, then look elsewhere -- but does anyone want depth from a Vin Diesel movie?
