Something Borrowed
It's a thin line between love and friendship.
After celebrating her 30th birthday, perpetual good girl Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin) unexpectedly ends up in the arms of Dex (Colin Egglesfield), the guy she's had a crush on since law school... and who's also the fiancé of her best friend Darcy (Kate Hudson). In the frantic weeks leading up to Darcy's wedding, Rachel is caught between her loyalty to and friendship with Darcy and the prospect of losing the love of her life. John Krasinski also stars in this funny and touching romantic comedy based on Emily Giffin's bestseller.

I liked the movie, but did not expect much, it was light entertainment and mindless at best, I thought the character of Dex a bit wimpy and could have been stronger, it was the usual angst of lovers who run into obstacles,I liked the scenery in NYC and the Hamptons, I recommend the movie if you want the usual story line about lovers. Not that bad, not that good - easyHwolf
This movie examines the intricacies of cheating on your best friend and the missteps taken to let the situation occur.
This movie was pretty mediocre, but it certainly provides for conversation material afterwards.
Our "heroine" displays good acting ability and one feels for her when she shows a lack of confidence, but at one point, you just want to knock her in the head and say, "grow some balls."Something Borrowed - djfunkybob
A solid romance about Rachel (played by Goodwin) - a woman whose self-esteem issues and sudden urgency to follow her dreams cause complications within her circle of friends. The film includes many funny moments, but shouldn’t have been marketed as much as a romantic comedy. The consequences of following your heart at the risk of sacrificing lifelong friendships would have been more fascinating as a drama, but may have turned away the younger viewing market. I thought the film did a great job of portraying the views of each main character because there was never a right or wrong choice, only dreams and feelings for each to follow.
