Everything Must Go
Lost is a good place to find yourself.
"Will Ferrell shines" (Detroit News) as Nick, a career salesman who loses his wife and his job in the worst day of his life. Faced with his life imploding, Nick puts it all on the line or, rather, on the lawn as he moves himself and all his possessions to his front yard. Based on the short story by Raymond Carver, Everything Must Go is an unflinching comedy about what happens after life falls apart.

I love Will Ferrell, but really....this was horrible. It dragged and dragged on, I was hoping for some comedic bits, but unfortunately, there were none. Its a touching story that had potential...but its not worth watching unfortunatley. Will should stick to comedy....Pass unless your very interested in this one... - mistyk1313
My own fault for not liking this one I think... I was expecting some sort of dramady... I think Will Ferrell,l I think laughs, going into this I knew it was a drama, but I really thought there would be more laughs, this movie could have been funny, but all in all it was a touching story about a down and out guy trying to figure life out. Will Ferrell was great as the stand alone guy, making a few friends along the way. He shows he has talent, and has come along way from my Saturday Night Live memories... Worth a watch if you are willing to go into this with no expectations, just enjoy it for what it is... - JeansFerrell is great - eli_quincy
In the past, plenty of comedians have made shaky transitions to dramatic big-screen roles. However, Will Ferrell was a very pleasant surprise in "Everything Must Go." He's understated, tender, compelling and, yes, funny as an alcoholic who takes to living on his lawn. The rest of the film might not be quite up to the standard of his excellent performance, but "Everything Must Go" is a winning little dramedy nonetheless.
