Great Ending to a surprisingly good franchise - Karl
I must admit I caught the Potter bug a few years ago. I'm 41, and always thought the series would be a childish, pale imitation to more "mature" fantasy such as Lord of the Rings or The Dark Tower. I admit now I was completley wrong. I've yet to read the novels, but since they are supposed to be much better than the films, I'm in for a real treat. This review is more about the series as a whole rather than just this film ( which was spectacular in and of itself). All I can say is excellent work Mrs Rowling and all the actors, directors and countless behind the scenes people that brought this incredible world to life. I cannot wait to introduce this series to my young son when he gets old enough. 4 out 5 stars. The final good-bye - movie_goer
Great end to a beginning... Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is worth the wait!
The whole world invest love in the characters, time in waiting for the story to unfold and money best spent watching it on the 3D Imax. Luckily it was time well wasted!
After 10 years of Harry Potter mania David Yates wraps up production and delivers us the best finale to a series based on a novel series. In a bittersweet farewell you watch as children become adults who find love, fight evil oh... and defeat Voldermore! Hurrah!Best movie of the series - jenottawa
Everything is wrapped up perfectly. The death from the book almost broke my heart. I wish it could have been different, but I understood they wanted to stay true. I truly hold that she comes out with new books/movies to see what their adult lives turned into eventually and possibly covers their children. The scene as older people at the end wraps up everything beautifully. It is highly recommended, but only if you've seen the previous movies or it would ruin everything. The villain become hero is fascinating... If you have seen all the movies, it would be worth seeing the first again only to see where they got to by the end and how much they have changed.
